Two Fishermen

I am indebted to Glen for posting this yesterday. It makes me smile every time I look at it.  I am not completely sure why.  Is it the story that is being told?  Is the mischievous look in the eyes of the second fisherman as the first fisherman solemnly tells his tale?  Or is it simply the years of friendship and adventure that are implied?

I cannot fully tell you.  But I do love it.

  1. When such men are involved, it is impossible to spot the liar. They are both likely full of it.

    1. Glen, I suspect you are correct.

(I think part of the reason I also love this picture is that it reminds me of my grandfather and his generation. He was a fisherman.)

  3. My favorite fishing joke:

Did you hear about the one armed fisherman that caught the world record bass yesterday. It was this big... (hold out one arm to the side of you with palm facing towards you as if showing how long something was but keep your other arm at your side.)

  4. Makes me think of Norman Rockwell, too.

Thanks, TB. You all be safe and God bless.

    1. Linda, it made me think of Rockwell too, although I could not find it attributed to him.

Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
