Down here, we have swifts that zoom all over catching skeeters at the pm earth-turn. They have swept forward-edges on their wings, and flap maddly then coast. They wheel in the sky and really give me a thrill. Reminds me of a revelation of God's mind toward me....
Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
Well done!
ReplyDeleteNice pic too...😊👍
Thank you Glen. I do not remember seeing so many sparrows in past years at sunset.
DeleteFor all that I do not enjoy about New Home, the sunsets are spectacular.
Oh that's a nice sunset TB!
ReplyDeleteRain, we have an overabundance of beautiful sunsets here. Not quite a compensation for the heat, but beautiful none the less.

Interesting STxAR - I do not thing I have ever seen swifts at work. They are certainly fun to watch.
DeleteThese are roosting for the night, but you can see the flight dynamics on the background birds. Chimney Swifts: https://youtu.be/Ky0d_TWNEfY
DeleteI've seen bats do this at dawn out near Comfort, TX in the old RR tunnel. Like God was pouring them out of a pitcher into the cave.
That is pretty cool STxAR. Thanks for sharing.
DeleteI have seen bats pouring out at night as well. Pretty impressive.
