    1. Indeed, Ed. It makes no difference for nations as well: the underlying cause of economic refugees is often failed economies and failed economic systems. Why are we not doing more to build those up?

  3. Any society which has money is poor. I think in past times this is more valid. These days distraction can serve to keep the imbalance going much longer.

    1. Hmm. That is an interesting thought EGB. All societies have had some sort of medium of exchange - is money, the nature of the unit of exchange, or something else?
