Technically correct, although that was a very long time ago and under very different circumstances. That whole "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" thing that Christ said and all...
12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Fair John - although the overturning of tables and making a whip and driving commercial activities from the Temple is a long way from God's commands regarding the Israelites in Canaan.
Perhaps also worth noting that Christ's most passionate and fervent rebukes were for the Jews that had completely mishandled the Law. To sinners His command was "Repent".
Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
Reassuring words to read, especially this day TB.
