Oh no, he's chaining them together now. Ere long we'll see Frankenstein-style experiments to create haiku that format alongside their peers in their own similar patterns: the dreaded Matryoshka Haiku! *scare chord, thunderclap*
More seriously, with an understanding of the Why of haiku you've explained before, these pieces are quite lovely. For one's own limited knowledge, this is a scene I can capture in my mind's eye.
... Less seriously, it also provokes a silly memetic template of a sepia-toned samurai casting his stoic gaze out a modern window on a rainy afternoon. "Everyone screams 'kiai', but no one asks 'kiwhy'."
P_P - Hah! It is not quite a renga - a series of haikus back and forth between writers - although given my state of mind at times, it really could be two people writing it.
Thanks for the kind words - if you can see the scene, then I accomplished something of what I intended.
Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
