What a pretty window and the memories it has, along with the toy tractors. And it looks like a beautiful day to take pause, reflect and share stories. Maybe some you may have never heard.
Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
My heart goes out to you and your family at this time.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Sbrgirl. This is the end of rather long chapter that none of us expected going in.
DeleteMore important events than a daily post TB, lots of memories from this service. Quite the window there.
ReplyDeleteI think so too Nylon12 - at least as many as my father's. It is the end of a era in our family.
DeleteMy mother was never much of a stained glass person, so the inclusion of the window was a bit surprising at the time.
She's pain free and with God. The Service is for the living to remember who Mom was and how good God is.
ReplyDeletePeace to you and yours friend.
Thanks Michael.
DeleteJust as important (at least to me), she is herself again for the first time in years.
Memories are a blessing.
ReplyDeleteThey are, Anon. We were able to have several new ones to me yesterday.

Hobo, it was not like my mother to insist on a stained glass window; I am glad that she did.
DeleteThe service was quite pleasant and indeed, some I had not heard before.
Sadness and blessings. Woody
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Woody.
DeleteI hope lots of memories were made. I still look back on my mom’s memorial with fondness.
ReplyDeleteThey were, Ed. It was doubly good as it is not often that our generation of cousins (and the next one) gets together.
