Rabbit Fun

In lieu of a serious post, today I thought I would post some of my favorite art of Rabbits in different imaginings.

Hoops (Gamma World 1st Edition, circa 1977):  2.6 meter tall rabbits with telepathy and opposable thumbs.

A different version, simply "Rabbits with guns:

Space Marine Rabbit:

"Cute Rabbit with an Axe.  Valhalla calling:"

Usagi Yojimbo (artist Stan Sakai):

  3. Wabbits with guns.
    That is an interesting concept.

Spend a little time on YouTube and find two short CGI films.
    Cat Sh*t One.
    Poilus.

Thank you for lightening the mood.

    1. John - I have seen both of those and they are good (although Poilus is much harder for me to watch due to the ending).

Just read the daily paper, there's a comic by Chad Carpenter called "Tundra" that you might find a chuckle in today........ :)

  5. You the world would become interesting quite quickly if another species besides humans developed the ability to use guns.

    1. Ed, a lot of very good science fiction has been generated around the concept of multiple intelligent species existing on the same planet. It gives a whole new dimension to species understanding.

  6. You brought back memories of summer vacations in the Roswell New Mexico area. We lived in So. Cal. my whole life until I joined the USAF in '69.
Starting when I was 9 until 17, my mom would take me me back for long stays with her relatives. They owned (or leased?) giant ranches. The older kids would take me with them in the pick up for spotlighting jack rabbits. These were not like So. Cal. Jacks. These critters were so big, I could see there head and ears above the hood while sitting down in the front seat! When they shot one, it went down like ya pulled the plug on 'em. The first one I got to shoot from the bed of the truck, I hit lower than the kill switch. Damn thing screamed! Freaked me out, but with the command in my ear to "Shoot it again!" I did. It was High adventure for a kid already addicted to firearms and hunting.
The ONLY 22's I saw back there (and they were in every truck and at the front/back door) was either an M1890 or M1906 (basically the same gun) Winchester, pump 22.

    1. TM, lots of folks do not know that rabbits can scream. It is a terrifying thing if you are not ready for it.

Glad I could bring back some good memories.

Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
