Amen. It seems with the multitude of information out there, we are more confused then ever on what REALLY happened or is happening. What ever happened to the news media which just informed but did not offer their own slant on what was happening.

Or maybe it was slanted all the time, we just weren't aware of it. Cynicism has grown exponentially.

    1. I wonder if it is just the case that before there was at least a pretense to some kind of shared understanding of what "truth" was. We have now entered the age that everything is fluid in the service of the perceived greater good.

So true. How do you get a society addicted to factless "knowledge" to start searching for deep truth?

    1. Rather horrifyingly, I think you have to have the whole thing utterly collapse on its face. That, and have wisdom as valued again as truth (both are important) instead of any precept or thought system not created in the three years as being antiquated and useless.

  3. That is a very accurate statement. Cuts to the heart of our problems.

    1. It is StxAR. As you well know, the Bible and especially Proverbs has a great deal to say about wisdom - and what happens when you ignore it.

  4. This is something that the little kiddles don't understand. There's a BIG difference between "education" and "wisdom..."

    1. Pete, sadly we are reaching the day where the difference between the two will become readily apparent.

  5. As the old saying goes, "Knowledge is knowing that tomatoes are a member of the apple family. Wisdom is knowing not to put tomatoes in applesauce."

    1. A very, very apt demonstration Reverend! (And, I learned something.)

Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
