If there is a confusing or contradictory passage of scripture, the fault lies with my limited human mentality. I trust the Author to say what He means. I am the weak link in the chain of understanding and application of Holy Writ. I might have to exercise faith to step out towards what I don't yet understand. (that last sentence gives me shivers at times) His Holy Spirit will / might explain in due time.
No disagreement here, STxAR. The number of times a passage suddenly leaps out at me after I have read it "without incident" for years is astonishing. God's World is indeed both living and sharp.
