A Year Of Kindness (XLI): A Little Kindness Today

(Source)

When it comes right down to it, we have no control over how our actions become the memories of others - as the saying goes, you can choose your actions but you cannot choose the consequences of your actions.

Usually we assume that to be in the negative sense - in other words, my actions may have impacts or ramifications that are negative in ways that I cannot anticipate.  But the reverse can and should be equally true as well, that my actions may have impacts or ramifications that are positive in ways that I cannot anticipate.

With that in mind, the call to be kind becomes even more important.  After all, if our actions can have positive outcomes, who knows how our actions of kindness will be remembered for good or make an impact we can never foresee in the life of another?

And perhaps that is one of the big reveals of Heaven, to see what impacts our kindnesses had - the big ones but just as much the little ones we never thought about.  So in that sense the more we are kind, the more shots on goal we are getting for those revelatory moments.

No kindness, after all, is ever wasted.

Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
