Eventually, of course, the visit to Switzerland ended - and we were off to Germany.
(I find clouds from airplanes endlessly fascinating. I have no idea why.)
Welcome to Germany! We are now about 1.5 hours south of Munich in Bavaria.
The hotel that folks usually stay in when visiting this plant was full, so we got a very nice one in the next town down.
Welcome chocolate bar!
My one and only "good" dinner on the trip.
Schnitzel and fried potatoes, maybe some of the best I have had.
Good timing on reading this post this morning TB, right before breakfast......Schnitzel looked good! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe schnitzel was indeed good, Nylon12 - but the potatoes...I do not believe I have ever had such fried potatoes.
DeleteNearly any breakfast bar out of the U.S. is better than ours. I haven't spent time in Germany (only flown through) so for me, the best I've had was probably Greece.
ReplyDeleteGreece's were also very good, as were Turkey's. German and Austrian breakfast bars tend to be much more heavily loaded with bread, cheese, and meats - not maybe the best for you, but quite delicious.
DeleteYummy, yummy. I always enjoy these travel meals posts. Cuisine is so essential to culture.
ReplyDeleteLeigh, I have to admit food is one of my favorite parts about traveling.
DeleteOf course, great food is made even greater by just having it "be there" when you show up.
