Gratitude

  1. We often reflect on our gratitude list. It's a conscious effort, and rewards us with blessings beyond counting. With all the hideous nattering that is the news, we have thoroughly enjoyed our hikes in the woods, our visits and cellphone conversations with friends and family, and the daily spectacle that is our rural big sky.
Two years ago, my wife suffered serious hip fractures that left her unable to get out of bed for months. Today she walks several miles daily. We have not missed a meal that we did not choose to skip, and our diet is a choice that kings and emperors of ages past could not dream of.
And just today I received in the mail a new volume of GK Chesterton classics. I believe I'll turn the computer off early tonight.

    1. And that is the way, Greg. We have to make it a conscious effort. There is something in almost everything to be thankful for - especially a new book!

Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
