January Sun

Burning orb sails high:
Can I remember that such
things really exist?

  1. I just wish the sun was a bit higher in the sky during January myself.

  2. lovely haiku....and very fitting up here in cape breton island! we had a very dreary, gray december but january has been been beautifully bright! and we're already halfway through january so that means many longer days ahead - woohoo!

  3. Preppy - I would love more time. Sunset at 5:45 makes it hard to do things.

  4. Kymber Thank you and that is kind of funny to me because I would not picture somewhere as far north as where you are having a lot of sun. Is this normal? One of the advantages we have is approximately 300 days a year of sun, which The Ravishing Mrs. TB likes very much because she does not like dreary and grey (me, I am okay with a fair amount of rain).

    And a fabulous haiku yourself!

  5. TB - oh yes. we get beautiful sun up here! and because of where we are we really notice when the days get shorter and when the days get longer. the arc that the sun travels is really noticeable here because we are up on a hill. tell mrs. TB that i can relate - i hate dreary and gay too!

    1. I had no idea Kymber. Shows you how much conception I have of things - I have had friends who have traveled to Toronto in Winter and they thing they mentioned was the cold, so I guess I sort of assumed no sun went with it. The Ravishing Mrs TB would love the sun - the snow and cold, not so much. Even our recent cold snap (down to 27 F/-3 C) made her very sad.
