Shelf Cat

Morning darkness shines:
yellow lamp and orange fur
and reflective eyes.

    1. Thanks Leigh - but do not let this picture fool you. A The Cat was running along the top of the books trying to pull one off because he was in "a mood".

Still the reigning champions of the internet. Even "AI" can't resist employing the cat in its $2.8 million an hour content generator claptrap. I've no desire to follow elons disembodied head in a bell jar to mars but I know for sure I'm not going without my cat. And my cat won't go unless there is something there to kill. The duality of our domestics is a wonderful lens into our world. Curios and careful and yet in need of nine lives just to acquire a better view or that shiny thing that must be pounced upon. Almost as curious as what reveals of people who dismiss the cat as a less than companion. I find it to reveal some reliable characteristics of those types that are instructive in other areas of life. Yet another utility of the coil of death and purrs.

    1. "Yet another utility of the coil of death and purrs". What a great description of a cat. And this - "Almost as curious as what reveals of people who dismiss the cat as a less than companion." - you can tell a lot about a person by how they regard animals, even if they are not an "animal" person.
