I humbly disagree. I know of many people that practice such things as meditation (Christian, Zen, or otherwise) and still come at the world with the intent to bend it to their will. If the entire point in meditation is to reinforce the inner self and not change the inner self, then it is not really any better than a self help talk.
I will also note that the older I get, individuals on both sides that want to "change the world" prove the truth of this quote to me more and more.
To me, this is somewhat similar to President Kennedy's statement in his inaugural address. "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country." Thanks, TB. You all be safe and God bless.
It is odd: When Kennedy made his speech, I think he truly meant it and people truly believed it. Now were anyone to make such a speech, I think most people would question the motivation and sentiment of it. Different times indeed.

Too many people seem to lack the art of self reflection and considering internal change.
