It occurs to me that I have not really had an update on A since I originally posted about him on August 7th.
A, as you may remember, was a stray that Nighean Dhonn found while she was out walking Poppy The Mighty one evening. We took him in. Since then, fortunately (and with several trips to Veterinarian), he has been thriving.
Since then he has been napping:
Making friends:
And exploring the world:
He is still working on his "We should sleep when everyone else sleeps" and "Everyone is not a toy", but we are certainly glad that he is here.
He's a lovely lad!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarge. He has many endearing qualities - not the least of which is to turn out the cute factor at will.
DeleteAppears to be a good fit in your family. I hope that continues. I always wondered how cats and rabbits would get along in a household.
ReplyDeleteWe likewise adopted a kitten about a year ago last November, found in the wild and refused to leave us. We see some of its siblings from time to time in the neighborhood. So Mom and Daughter decreed it would be added to the fold.
"We don't need another cat - we already have two !" Said I. And walked away muttering as I was promptly overruled.
Layla has also been a godsend - still VERY playful, making the humans very happy. We lost one of the older cats to cat cancer in February - still miss him greatly (RIP Leo). The other older cat is left to deal with Layla - we sometimes have to separate them.
Anonymous - Rabbits and cats can get along. In his case, he needs to be supervised - he wants to "play" with the rabbits, but he plays a little rough. We are hopeful that he will tone down a bit.
DeleteAh, the old "we do not need another..." discussion. To be fair, I have used this to my advantage as well.
Sorry to hear about Leo. They fill our lives so much, yet are gone too soon.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever. But beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad there are bright spots in your life. You have to find them where you can. Especially now.
I relish in the few I have...
It is true STxAR - sometimes we really need to look for the joy.
DeleteCats are so photogenic.
ReplyDeleteEd, for a creature that came long before the camera, they have adopted peculiarly well.
DeleteCats.
ReplyDeleteTheir people are foolish and treacherous.
But they are fun... :)
Glen - their people are foolish and treacherous. In some ways like cats.
DeleteWe have not had a cat for 11 years or so. Not sure we ever contemplated having another one, but Fate intervened.
What Ed said. Especially this cat.
ReplyDeleteReverend, it is true. He is so stinking cute. The picture of him curled up is on the desk where I am working with my laptop. There is a desk lamp there that generates a lot of heat. I am not saying that I turn it on just so he will be warm when he naps, but I suddenly seem to need light a lot more often than I did...
DeleteThank you for the update! I enjoyed it tremendously. Such a cutie.
ReplyDeleteLeigh, you are quite welcome. He is quite a cutie - unless he is being a pill, which seems to happen sometimes as well.
Deleteupdates on posts! Revolutionary. I should consider that sometimes. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteNavyvan - Thank you very much!
DeleteDo not think too well of me though - this is not something I typically do. For A, though, worth it. We all need a little joy right now.
