Jesus Christ Did Not Say

  1. Indeed, narrow is the way and not peace, but a sword comes to mind.

    1. He did indeed say narrow is the way that leads to salvation and that wide and easy is the path that leads to destruction. He did leave it a bit vague, though, on what constituted that wide path - other than a lot of people find that one.

Woe to any - mostly myself - that assume I know everything that is on that second path. I have spent far too much time loitering around the entrance in the past.

  2. 1 Timothy 1:15 KJV: This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief

Happily, Christ paid the price of my sin, so I am not required to be perfect, only forgiven.

Plenty of scripture about not offending the Holy Spirit and choosing sin as a way of life.

Seems that's too simple for the SO SMART Humans.

    1 Corinthians 1:25-31
    King James Version
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

    The rest is worth reading.

But a biblically literate Christan should know you cannot "save" yourself by "Good Deeds" and "Being Perfect". Yet it seems between Satan making us wonder about "our salvation when we are SO BAD" and Human PRIDE that we MUST be Worthy from our OWN WORKS..

    1. Humans, in general, have no problem accepting something for nothing - except, oddly enough, for salvation because it implies that we cannot "do it ourselves". It is an interesting conundrum.

  3. I have been told by reliable sources that the most important message of Jesus was "go with the flow". /sarcasm

Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
