Memorial Service

We have the memorial service for my mother this weekend.  My apologies for the brevity of today's post.

This window is one that my mother insisted be built in the house at The Ranch.  The small toy tractors were gifts to my father over the years.

    1. Thank you so much Sbrgirl. This is the end of rather long chapter that none of us expected going in.

More important events than a daily post TB, lots of memories from this service. Quite the window there.

    1. I think so too Nylon12 - at least as many as my father's. It is the end of a era in our family.

My mother was never much of a stained glass person, so the inclusion of the window was a bit surprising at the time.

  3. She's pain free and with God. The Service is for the living to remember who Mom was and how good God is.

Peace to you and yours friend.

    1. Thanks Michael.

Just as important (at least to me), she is herself again for the first time in years.

  5. What a pretty window and the memories it has, along with the toy tractors. And it looks like a beautiful day to take pause, reflect and share stories. Maybe some you may have never heard.

Peace and blessings to you and the family.

    1. Hobo, it was not like my mother to insist on a stained glass window; I am glad that she did.

The service was quite pleasant and indeed, some I had not heard before.

    1. They were, Ed. It was doubly good as it is not often that our generation of cousins (and the next one) gets together.

Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
