I have a half dozen books by and about G.K.Chesterton within reach as I sit here. He is endlessly quoted, but I have met very few who've actually read anything of his. He was brilliant, and as the quote above, could distill an essay into one line.
Greg, I have a few - less than 10 perhaps? - of his works. He is endlessly brilliant and pithy. Why he has effectively fallen on such hard times is beyond me - it is almost as if he was eclipsed by more recent apologists such as Lewis, Schaeffer, or Guinness. I do not see that needs be a replacement; Chesterton seems as relevant today as he was 100 years ago.
