TB The Elder's Day

Hello friends.

Today is the day of my father's funeral service:  burial in the morning, service in the afternoon with a light repast following, and then (likely) family convening at my sister's house afterwards.

If I could ask your prayers, good thoughts or good wishes (as you practice), I would be grateful.  Specifically for being able to speak well and being able to be the cheerful front face of the family to a bevy of individuals who have come to honor my father (as an introvert, this can be exhausting).

As a  note, I suspect it will be Monday for a post-service report.

Be of good cheer, and remember that Christ has overcome death and the grave.

Rest in peace, Mr. Beaucail. Godspeed.

You’ll do just fine, TB. All thoughts will be on your dad.

  4. May God give you the words to say and the presence to encourage. May His peace comfort you all.

Your words reminded me of this:

"I know that my Redeemer liveth, and He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. And after my skin worms destroy this body, YET in my flesh will I see God. Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me." Job 19

    I'm praying.

  5. My thoughts & prayers for you and the family. Remember the man he was and enjoy the stories you will hear that you may never have heard before. Just be 'you' & you'll be fine (and like I said to my mom...don't worry about a weepy moment, it's part of the ride)

Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
