Smokey Sun

The Autumn Solstice
has not arrived but somehow
the Sun is shaded.

  1. I can't decide which is the stronger emotion: the appreciation of the beauty of the photo and poem, or the concern over what's happening out there.

  2. It is hard, Leigh. Sometimes beauty and destruction are terribly intertwined.

  3. At least you can SEE the sun! We haven't seen the sun for a week. Our smoke is still from the fire which is still burning on the mountain and the OR/CA fires. I'd like to see the fire swing back down and hit the places it missed.

    1. Hobo, it has pretty much cleared out here now, although I gather it was much worse before we came.

Yes, if it is going to come through, better a clean sweep. Is there a chance you will have to evacuate?

Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
