Peaceful And Harmless

8 comments:

  1. Oh I do understand this......I have had a great rage where I could feel my blood surge up into my head while my lungs exploded with such force sufficient to nearly bust my vocal chords apart while I shouted my words of wrath. I have a rage that can, and has done, smashed things apart. I have a rage which I now contain because it eventually gave me strokes. But I also know such peacefulness, and people have commented that they find me to have a calming energy. It is not quietness, it is a deep calm which comes from a soul which is in sync with the Universe.

  3. That's a noodle scratcher for me TB! I think I'm peaceful, but am I capable of great violence? Interesting thought!

  5. Vera, I can only really speak for my own reading, but the great historical swordsman have all had this same energy of which you speak, this deep calm that comes from the universe, the satori (enlightenment) moment. I keep looking for it.

  7. Rain, it is almost counter intuitive if you thing about it. If we can never act violently, we are ultimately nothing but harmless. But just because you can does not mean that you will or should.

  8. Glen, no harm in asking at all. I do not. It is something I have thought of from time to time, but just have never acted on. Probably should...
