Apologies friends - I seem to have come down with a sinus infection and for the first time in something like 7 to 9 years, took an actual sick day yesterday. With any luck, I will be back on my game tomorrow.
Hot chicken soup with live culture kimchee stirred in STAT. A roll of paper towels for the sinus drainage. I like to moisten mine with tap water as it keeps the nose from looking like Rudolf's.
You will reek of kimchee and honk like a foghorn but it's my go to for any "I'm gonna die" flu's and the "I'm not feeling quite right" preventative. HT to the Republic of Korea KATUSA's that forced me out of that bed and into a bowel of such soup.
I guess from my perspective, I think most of those "deadlines" are self imposed deadlines. For me, this time of the year has always been fairly low key for my family so it is one I tend to look forward too, since I really don't impose any deadlines on myself other than spending more time with my family.
Ed, one of the things my industry is famous for is always "living" in the future and the present - for example, we are already talking about early 2027 having planned out 2026 (and all the work that goes with it). Which I guess would be fine, except that the schedule (and associated deadlines) always seem to be a moving target. It is exhausting.
Feeling slightly better today. I need rest pretty much, which is the hardest thing in the world for someone who seems to have a lot to do.
Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
Rest up TB, don't know how you manage to post something every day, prayers out for you and yours.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nylon12. Honestly, writing is therapy for me (and far cheaper than actual therapy...).
