A Few Words From...Yamaoka Tesshu

"Over a few years
let intimacy
ripen naturally -
the number of friends will be small
but the quality will be very large."

- Yamaoka Tesshu (1836-1888)

  1. That sounds like a good plan.

  2. Oddly enough Linda, in the time of social media so many do exactly the opposite, valuing the number of "friends" (and by friends we mean follower or vague acquaintances) instead of any sense of quality in the relationship.

    Also, how is your husband doing?

  3. Absolutely true, re: social media.

    He is doing okay. We are back home. Very slowly catching up on sleep. He isn't healing as fast as he would like; but he doesn't always do what the doctors told him to do.
    We are managing, though. I thank God we went to NC a few years ago and brought two of our boys down here, due to financial problems; because they are being a great help.
    Thank you for asking, TB. God bless. :)
