Green grass and brown hares,
Heat pregnant with almost-rain:
Summer has arrived.

Yay! A Haiku!

It is going to be uncomfortable pretty soon here, unfortunately.

It is all too true here - and moving into sort of Uber-summer pretty quickly.

i love it when you do haikus and then i am challenged to do one back! i find it funny that Rain said that summer is right around the corner...it is the same for us but both us and Rain do live in canada. i am glad that you liked the haiku. xoxox

Here, it's green grass and brown turtles laying eggs in the yard, haha!
But I do agree with the rest of it.
Have a blessed weekend!

You have turtles laying eggs in the yard? How wonderful is that?

It is so odd - and neat - seeing how the seasons change in different parts of the continent.

Yes we do. Every year. I don't know why, other than there is a bayou across the street.
And everything watches them lay, too. Starlings are the biggest culprit, followed by whatever else we have around.

One year there were a lot of coyotes, but haven't seen them lately. Same for red fox. Lot of raccoons and possums. All of which like eggs.
