Storm

The darkening clouds
and wind acts as heralds to
thunder and lightning.

  1. We had some thunder last night, but it didn't last long thankfully! Marlene, our husky/shepherd mix is terrified of loud noises.

    1. Our Labrador Syrah was as well. Poppy seems unaffected by them up to this point.

Two fronts pushed through today, both about 45 minutes of heavy rain. We netted about 1.016 cm of rain.

    1. And we have had some very dark fronts push through lately, Linda. To the point of almost evening-dark.

    2. Glad you got through safely.

When we were in NC before hubby retired, we were headed to Raleigh from Havelock. About the time we got to Kinston, the sky got really black in front of us. And I mean black. I told hubby I had a bad feeling so we turned around and went home.
Saw a little dust devil cross the road in front of us. Found out later that a tornado had passed through the area ahead of us. We probably would have been in the middle of it, had we continued.

Thank the Lord for watching over us then, and you now. Have a blessed evening.

    3. Fortunately for us the geography here is just hilly enough to make tornadoes a very rare event. I have not seen one close enough to describe one, and hope I never do.

Comments are welcome (and necessary, for good conversation). If you could take the time to be kind and not practice profanity, it would be appreciated. Thanks for posting!
